  Hi everyone!

  I'm so glad you're here. My name is Katrina, and I'm the heart and soul behind Happy Scents. I'm a mom to six amazing kids, and lets be honest, life can get a little crazy! But through all the hustle and bustle, there's always been one constant: my love for candles.

  I've dabbled in candle making here and there over the years, but it wasn't until recently I decided to take the plunge and turn my passion into a business. My goal isn't to become a candle empire. What truly drives me is making people happy, and that's exactly where the name "Happy Scents" comes from.

  2023 was an extremely challenging year for me. In late July, I lost my mother, and just prior to that, I underwent three major surgeries within a single month. These events significantly heightened the anxiety I've struggled with for most of my life. During those difficult times, I found immense comfort in fragrances - from candles to essential oils. They became my lifeline.

  That personal experience ignited a fire in me. I truly believe fragrances have superpowers. They can transport us back to cherished memories, soothe our minds, and relax our bodies. A single scent can whisk you away to another place entirely. Think about it: the aroma of "Hot Apple Pie" can instantly transport you back to your Grandma's warm kitchen, while the crisp scent of "Fog and Fern" can sweep you away to a misty forest at dawn.

  I want to share the power of fragrances with others who may be experiencing anxiety or simply need a little moment of peace. I believe that the right scent can make all the difference.

  At Happy Scents, I pour my heart into every candle and wax melt. I especially love creating custom candles for my customers.
